Our Teachers

With over ten years of experience as a session bassist, band member, and collaborator across a wide range of projects, Anthony specialises in musical genres including Soul, Funk, Rock, Blues, RnB, Dub, Folk, Ambient, Experimental, Psychedelic, Pop, and Indie.

As a teacher, Anthony tailors his approach to each student’s goals and learning style, focusing on what you want to achieve. He builds lessons around your passions, creating a supportive and flexible environment for growth.

*ONLINE ONLY* Ryan has toured and recorded music with his signed band for 9 years, has done session work for notable artists and can teach a variety of styles and abilities.

Lori, a past student of Twang, is a skilled singer and vocal instructor with 13 years of teaching experience. She has been singing and playing the guitar and ukulele for 30 years, both solo and in bands. Lori has also conducted therapeutic music sessions for disabled adults and taught young children in nursery schools. She is our Tots teacher for ages 3-5 and is affectionately called the Ukulelady.

Jose has been teaching with us for 12 years, strong foundation in classical training, and can conduct lessons in English and Spanish.

Danun has been teaching for 20 years, and specialises in pop, hard rock and metal guitar styles.

Alicia has a Grade 6 in guitar, violin, piano and Grade 8 in cello and enjoys teaching children and witnessing that moment when they start to hear
themselves making a great sound.

Grade 8 Distinction in Piano. ABRSM in Piano performance and is currently
pursuing an LRSM qualification.

Ryan specialises in classic rock and all forms of heavy metal, and is experienced in playing extended range electric guitars such as 7 & 8 string guitars.

Bernardo can teach many different styles, including pop, rock, blues and jazz and can conduct lessons in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Oriana is an experienced multi-instrumentalist with 5+ years of experience playing and performing a range of musical styles. Passionate about nurturing the next generation of musicians, she is an enthusiastic teacher, who specialises in working with children.

Joseph is proficient in many instruments, has taught in classrooms for 5 years, and is currently studying for his PhD in Practice-Based Research of microtonal composition.
